Grants for beekeepers and entrepreneurs: How to get financial support for honey packaging and marketing in 2025?

Beekeeping in Serbia is experiencing steady growth, and the quality of domestic honey and other bee products is recognized both nationally and internationally. To further support the development of this sector and facilitate product placement, the Ministry of Economy, in cooperation with the Development Fund of the Republic of Serbia, has launched the Financial support Program for honey and other bee product marketing in 2025.

This program provides an opportunity to receive non-repayable funds intended for entrepreneurs and companies looking to enhance their business by acquiring equipment for filling, packaging, and storing honey and other bee products. A total of 50,000,000 dinars is available, and applications are open until the funds are exhausted or, at the latest, until June 30, 2025.

Who can apply for non-repayable funds?

The financial support is available to companies and entrepreneurs who were registered with the Business Registers Agency before the publication of this public call and who have an approved facility for filling and packaging honey in the Register of Approved Facilities of the Veterinary Directorate.

Additionally, exceptionally, those whose founders have a registered facility for primary honey production may also apply, provided that by December 31, 2025, they register a facility for honey filling and packaging.

How much funding can you get?

Business entities that meet the criteria can receive non-repayable funds covering up to 50% of the total investment value, while the remaining amount must be financed from their own resources. The maximum amount per application is 3,000,000 dinars.

What can the funds be used for?

The program finances the purchase of equipment and vehicles that facilitate the storage, packaging, and distribution of honey and other bee products, covering the following investment categories:

✔ Equipment for honey filling and packaging – filling and packaging lines, automatic jar and bottle fillers, labelers, vacuum packaging machines, equipment for sachet and small-dose packaging.

✔ Storage and preservation of honey quality – stainless steel (INOX) tanks, containers for pollen, propolis, and wax, as well as special chambers for controlled storage temperature.

✔ Transportation means – acquisition of delivery vehicles for transporting raw materials and finished products, as well as other transport equipment needed in the production process.

How to apply for non-repayable funds?

Applications are submitted electronically, by completing an application form and submitting supporting documentation proving compliance with the program’s conditions. Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis until available funds are depleted.
